Thank you RosesHow do you say "Thank you" to someone who's done you a good deed? Miss Manners insists you do so with a tasteful, elegant handwritten card. That's certainly an option, but pen-and-paper is no longer the go-to technology for appreciative communication these days. In our modern day world, you've got quite a few attractive choices: for instance, you can say express your appreciation by taking your well-wisher out to dinner, by calling them on the phone so that they can actually hear your voice, by sending them a heartfelt email -- or better yet, by sending them a great big bouquet of Thank You roses. That's a tradition you may never have heard of (much less participated in), but in these days of the Global Village, it's certainly a valid way of saying "thanks" -- especially if the person you're thanking lives far away. Sending fresh Thank You roses cross-country is almost as easy as sending a letter. It's surprising affordable, too, and you're not limited to the telephone florists who've dominated the market for so long. These days, you can order straight from the rose farm, and cut out the middleman. Take, for random example, Mr. Roses. We're at the top of the express roses game. We run our own rose farm in Ecuador, where it's always summer and the roses are always blooming in profusion. Not only that, the weather's favorable for the growth of other flowers, especially calla lilies and miniature Gerberas, not to mention green filler like baby's breath. (All of which are great to accessorize your Thank You roses with, by the way). When you order from our website, you start a process in which we cut the perfect flowers for your bouquets right off the bush (no stored roses here), prepare and package them right away, and immediately send them your way by express mail. They're flown to the USA, and within a few days they're at your door. How's that for efficient? Best of all, you can get them anytime of the year, in just about any quantity, and for much lower prices than a traditional florist would charge. Just as on other occasions, you should consider color when sending someone a bunch of Thank You roses. While any color may suffice, in standard rose symbolism a deep pink is the appropriate color for appreciation and gratitude. Send your well-wisher orange roses to indicate admiration and, if appropriate, attraction. If you're sending roses to thank a business partner or client, peach is the way to go; it's the color that suggests a deal has gone well. Tread carefully with yellow roses; while they indicate friendship and caring according to modern rose symbolism, back in the old days yellow roses were for jealously. And then there's classic red, of course. Red tells one and all that love is in the air; and depending upon what you're thanking someone for, this may or may not be appropriate. If it is, why not include a purple rose or two, to let them know you've loved them from the start?
