MR Roses Flower Farm

Our farm is located on the ancient Inca-Path territory on
the outskirts of Quito. At a latitude of 2° 41' south
of the equator, we receive about 12 hours of sunshine per
day. This means that the average rose we grow on our farm
receives a maximum of 1260 hours of sunshine. We are at an
altitude of 2800 m / 9200 ft, due to our altitude and the
intensity of the sunlight at this altitude, we believe our
flowers develop with more vibrant colors than in lesser altitudes.
We don’t use any artificial lighting for the growth
of our roses. We are located approximately 45 minutes south
of Quito between the villages of Amaguaña and Conocoto.
As
a family business, we have limited our rose production to
3 hectares of cultivated and optimized land. We are making
plans for moderate growth of our production, however we want
to control quality over volume and therefore are taking careful
steps to prepare our expansions. Although we are not the largest
producer by South American standards, you can rest assured that our quality will
match or surpass most high quality fresh-cut roses you find
in Ecuador.
